Hello,
We will be travelling to the following places in August Beijing, Xian, Chengdu, Guilin, Hangzhou, Suzhou and Shanghai. We are both vegetarians (on meat or fish) and love Tofu. However we are rubbish at finding good places to eat always end up wasting time trying to find somewhere to go.
Does any one have any suggestions of good, reasonably priced restaurants to try in any of the places we are visiting.

you are vegetarian,i recommend the restaurant around Daxingshan Temple in xian to you, it is a vegetarian restaurant

Shanghai:

1. 春风松月楼 Chunfeng Songyue Vegetarian Restaurant
地址: 上海市黄浦区旧校场路99号 (近百翎路)
Address: No.99, Jiu Jiaochang Road, Huangpu District (near Bailing Road)
This restaurant is near the Yuyuan Garden and the Old Town God Temple, so you dine there after visiting these two attractions.

2. 玉佛寺素菜馆 Jade Buddha Temple Vegetarian Restaurant
地址: 静安区江宁路999号 (安远路口)
Address: No.999, Jiangning Road, Jing’an District (the intersection with Anyuan Road)
You can go there after visiting the Jade Buddha Temple.

3. 龙华寺素食 Longhua Temple Vegetarian Restaurant
地址:徐汇区龙华路2853号龙华寺内
Address: inside Longhua Temple, No.2853, Longhua Road, Xuhui District

4. 新素代 New Age Veggie
地址: 浦东新区陆家嘴西路168号正大广场5楼
Address: 5F, Super Brand Mall, No.168, West Lujiazui Road, Pudong New District

You can enjoy a good taste of Mapo Tofu in Chengdu. :)
