As a matter of fact, China has scored many achievements. The GDP growth increases rapidly. It is said that China may overtake Germany and rank the third place in 2007. Meanwhile, the foreign exchange reaches 1.33 trillion and takes great trade surplus with his counterpart countries. Do these make the developped countries nervous and scared? China's Vice Premier-Wu Yi told the visiting US Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson that "China will never constitute an economic threat to any nation nor does it have the power to be". She also said, "the US should improve its understanding of China's entire economic situation as well as the challenges facing this nation". Personally, I totally agree with her. Other nations in the world should also improve their understanding of China. Uderstanding is the most effective way to change their views. Why do these developed nations take China as a big threat? Is China really a big threat to other countries in the world?

They are not scared I think. It is more of jealous and insecurity - it is just like a athlete leading all the way to find that his opponent is closing on him near the finishing tape.
They had tried to hamper China's economic progress but failed, though the China-bashing programme is still not fully over.
Other nations esp the USA do not want to understand others. They want others to understand and listen to them.
