Anyone knows how to open a china bank account in overseas?

Hi,

I am very interested in purchasing things in taobao.com but they need a china bank account.
For VISA card, they only accept hong kong bank visa card not internationally.

I am not living in china hence like to find out is there any way that i can open a china bank account without me flying all the way to china jus to open an account.
Pls help..thks.

Have you looked into joining Alipay, the equivalent of Paypal? Maybe you will have the same problem though.

You can open bank accounts in Bank of China or HSBC in many major cities around the world...but I am not sure if that will still give you access. Contact B of C in your country.
