is it possible to enter china with a one way visa

i am from cameroon and will be travelling to china this month end.
is it possible i buy aone way ticket since i will surely extend my stay in china. also will there be any problems at the immigration office with that.
also it is my first time to china and i am a footballer can some one propose me a website for very cheap apartments .
i will be very great full for your help thanks

each time I pass the immigration at the Chinese border they only see the visa but never ask for the air ticket.

China is huge, you need to specify which cities you intend to stay for any advice for accommodation
