Recently, many famous Chinese old brands, such as Quanjude, Wuyutai are recruiting foreign names. Their spokesmen said that the current Chinese Pinyin names are difficult for foreigners to remember. So it's better to get some foreign names for these old brands.

Do you think it's necessary? If yes, how to name Quanjude, the famous Roast Duck restaurant?

To address this, you need to ask yourself first : why do you have an English name ?!

I don't think it is necessary to get an English name for it. There are no English words as informative and interesting to describe the real meaning of Quan Ju De.

I think it's unnecessary to give an english name to a famous brand. And the Chinese has become a popular language day by day. Maybe one day it will has the same position as english.

I got my English name cos my teacher asked me to do so. And I think it's easier for foreign teacher to remember my name.

So I think is quite necessary for Chinese famous brands to have better foreign names.
