Having visited and loved the Shanghai district, I am now trying to plan a second trip to motorbike across China (Beijing to Tajik border crossing). I am a Canadian citizen. Does anybody know the rules to go about legally purchasing and operating a motorbike in China as a foreigner? Do you need to be a resident in order to get a driver's license or can it be arranged on a visitors visa? Thank you!
