Throughout history, the factors that triggered wars have been varied. Quite a few wars were fought for either territories or power. But probably there was only one significant war which was fought for beauty and love. That is the Trojan War, the greatest conflict in the Greek Mythology, which has exerted a great influence on literature and arts for centuries.

The war was fougt between Greeks and Troyans and lasted for ten years(1194-1184BC). The young prince of Troy, Paris, have an affair with the amazing beauty, Helen, who was the Spartan Queen. Prince Paris took Helen to Troy.Spartan King wanted to recapture Helen and revenge so that he launched a war against Trojans.

Did love have such immense power to trigger a long lasting war between two countries? I wonder. After a second thought, I figured out the Trojan war was still a war fought for the dictator's personal desire .In the past, women were viewd as part of monarch's possessions. So did the unmatched beauty Helen. Anyway, it is still an usual war, because a beauty was taken advantage of as an excuse. Helen shouldn't be blamed. It was not her fault.

It is not the beauty's fault, since beauty was taken advantage of in theTrojan War.

Helen is cute, and the most beautiful lady in her time. It is universally acknowledged that all heroes love beauty.

Is it the case, men? If you do not love beauty, you are not a hero.

Helen of Troy; "The face that launched a thousand ships"
A nice story, but the war probable started over trade.
Miranda, some cultures believe that a woman should cover herself from head to foot to hide her beauty from men so as not to inflame their desire.
What are your thoughts?

'some cultures believe that a woman should cover herself from head to foot to hide her beauty from men so as not to inflame their desire.'

That's only the excuse for the weakness of men.
