I have a fiance in Harbin. We are waiting for her K1 Visa interview.
I want to go back for the interview, or to bring her home with me
to Detroit Michigan, after she has the Visa. Does anyone know of
a way to travel cheaper? I was there in January of this year. A round trip
ticket cost me a little over $1200 U.S. dollars. Maybe fly to Beijing
and then up to Harbin by train?? Any help would be appreciated.
Peace, Ron

Check your PM, my friend and you will have the answer, just as soon as you call Henry on Monday morning, Pacific Daylight Time !! LOL :)

Mixing the rail with air travel, may or may not have a cost benefit. Ask not only about the flight all the way to Harbin, but also get a quote to Beijing only. Then look at your rail fare costs. You can then make the decision. Just remember, the train from Beijing to Harbin will add several hours to your overall trip. Get both air fares first, before locking in a decision. :)

The train from BJ to Harbin may cost you at least 8h8m (D train). You can have a try if you have free time.
