I think your hint gave this one away. Then again, since this is a guessing contest, I might be wrong...again. I believe this photo is from Wudangshan, Mt. Wudong, in Hubei province. More information about this famous Buddhist mountain can be found @

No, Wudangshan is a Taoist Mountain, not a Buddhist one.

ELLSYE,

What I have discovered is that Mt. Huangshan actually consists of 72 peaks and is a range of mountains, not a single mountain. Within this range of mountains is the famous Buddhist mountain called Mt. Jiuhua. For some unknown reason (perhaps my browser is hijacked) I could not pull up Mt. Jiuhua on the TCG search page. Doing a Google search brought up Mt. Huangshan as one of the four famous Buddhist mountains, which is why I entered it.

What makes a Buddhist Mountain a Buddhist Mountain anyway? It seems sort of paradoxical in that the Buddhist belief is to seperate your mind from earthly desires. Enlightment of the original Buddha was found beneath a tree in India, not on some windswept, rocky summit in China.
