Has anyone on this site read this book?
It is by Pang Mei Chang.
I bought it the other day in a book shop in Beijing and have been unable to stop reading it.
Chang was born in America so I do not know if there is a print in Chinese.

It's about a grandchild telling the story of her Grandmother, Chang Yuh, who was married to Hsu Chih Mo the poet and was then divoced by him.

Sounds good Dodger, I will try to get hold of a copy to read. A book I would recommend in return is Snow Flower & the Secret Fan, by Lisa See

TM,
thanks for the heads up on this book. I saw it at the shop but had to stop at 2 books.
The Bound Feet book apears to have a lot of information on culture which I found very interesting reading.

Dodger, Hsu Chih Mo is a very romantic but talented poet. He wrote numerous poems and lyrics. Certainly, he is attractive to women. Unfortunately, he died so young at the age of 36 or something. It's a real pity.
