I've decided to change my schedule this end September, instead of transiting in Beijing to Singapore, I will make my transit in Seoul, anybody been there before? Can give me some advise? Should I plan for additional day stay there? What's the cost of a 3-4 star hotel? What is the best place to visit? Need advise soon cos need to confirm tickets asap. Thanks.

The cost of a standard hotel room might be $80 -- $100 US a night downtown, $70 near the airport. there's a hotel downtown called "Green Hotel" that's ok and it's around $50 a night. It's a bit hidden away though from the major streets. I would recommend that you pay a little more and get a much nicer place. If you try to save money in downtown Seoul, you'll only save a little bit and get a much worse place.

You can visit Geongbokgung Palace, Piwon Palace, and Insadong is interesting too. that would take care of one day of sightseeing.
