SANDETH Points: Join Date: Apr 1, 2004 Status: offline	Guizhou province locates in the southwest China on the slope of the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau.It is one of the less known provinces and best-kept resources,opened to visitors in late 1980s.It is ne of the most beautiful provinces with dramatic karst limestone natural scenery ,grear gorges and canyons,great waterfalls,underground cave compleses and caverns with fantastic stalacittes and stalagmites. There are 13 distince ethnic groups which make up 34% of the total population of Guizhou.The traditional minority festivals with hospitable and friendly villagers are becoming a major charm for travellers.What's more,the stunning silver ornaments,long-forgotten embroidery skills and techniques in the textiles art can be found in various peaceful and nice villages. DAISY Points: Join Date: Mar 30, 2004 Status: Offline	Very glad to read your article about Guizhou here. I can't quite agree with you. I don't think Guizhou Province is one of the less known provinces. I think it is more and more popular to both the Chinese and foreigners for its beautiful scenery, especially its unique minority folk custom.

SANDETH Points: Join Date: Apr 1, 2004 Status: Offline	Thank you for your reply.It is true that Guizhou is known by more people.The fact is that the spep is very very small--even trival.What I am doing is try to let more and more people get to know,have interest,come to visit,understand and more important of all is to treasure this piece of land though it is still backward for the time being.
