China's defense chief , General Cao Gangchuan said China poses no threat to Japan when he met the Japanese Prime Minister Shinso Abe yesterday.Cao is the first military chief leader to come to Japan in the last ten years.

Different from his predecessor, after taking office, Abe was keen on repairing the deteriorating bilatteral ties between China and Japan.

Cao said in a public address to invited officials and politicians, “Those who speak of the theory of China as a military threat are ignorant of the true situation, and their claims are unfounded,”

Japan and China are two big powers in East Asia. The long-standing rifts between them makes any little progress in the biliteral ties anxious.

Hopefully, the biliteral ties can make a biigger stride in Abe Administration.

So far, the Sino-Japan relation is riding on tne right track, but who knows whether it will divert or or not someday in the future So far, Abe seems to be a good guy. After taking office, Abe chose China as the first stop of his state visit tour.

It is another reflection of China threat theory. It seems that more and more nations believe this theory.
