Hello,

I'm planning a small trip to Sanya for one week (January). I've read about malaria risks in Hainan Province... but if I stay in Sanya's area, does anybody know if it is necessary to take preventive medicine ?

DOn't be afraid about that. The malaria mostly broke out in the rural place. And the government should take some measure to control and calm down. But you still should take the medicine as the necessity.
