What did she mean...water face?

Okay...I am scratching my head. This morning I asked my gal what she did on her Friday night. She told me that she went to water face in the evening.

water face???

She could not explain it to me.

I guessed that she went to what we call a "beauty parlor" where women get their hair fixed up pretty, their fingernails painted and facials. ...but I am not confident with my guess.

Listening to her struggle to speak English - and she is doing a great job of it - makes me understand how nonsensical I must sound speaking Putonghua.

Why make up in the evening? I don't think it's make-up, although I still have no idea.

My mom always go to make-up at evening or afternoon, I don't know why.But if it's me, I don't like go to make-up at morning. I like sleeping,and afternoon I go to make-up and rest.
