On September 10th, Women's World Cup kicked off in Shanghai. At the opening ceremony, Sepp Blatter, the president of FIFA attended the opening ceremony and gave a speech.

In the opener, Germany, the defending champions, had a stunning victory by defeating Argentina 11 to 0. They created a new world record----the most lopsided result. Before, Sweden has defeated Japan 8 to 0 in 1991, and Norway over Nigeria in 1995. Germany’s captain----Prinz and Sandra Smisek played their hat trick.

What a surprising result!

Perhaps. America can not be ignored. They are the champions of 1999 Women's World Cup. It reminds me of Chinese women's football team. They were the runner-up in 1999. During the final match, China lost in the penalty. What a pity.

Since the Women's World Cup in 1999, Chinese Women's team have been to the downturn. Now Women's World Cup came to China. Hope our iron roses can bloom again. Tonight they will have a match with Denmark. Good luck to them!
