![]() | Guestjoelle, make sure you have travel insurance. I had an accidant in Tiawan some time ago and spent a week in a hospital. They would not let me go untill I had payed the bill. It was US$5000.00 Dodger. |

![]() | Only once did I fall ill while traveling and it wasn't in China; bad seafood in Portugal...but that's because I was born with a cast iron stomach. A couple of recommendations: You should bring a sturdy drinking container like a nalgene 1000 ml drinking bottle. Fill it with water you boiled before going to bed each night. While I've never had a problem with bottled water in China...even in the US many commercial brands are selling tap water. Take a critical look at any food stand or restaurant before you decide to eat there. Bring a package of imodium for intestinal distress and some asprin for fever. Do not worry, if you are really sick, some one will help you...and if you have the insurance Dodger recommends...no worries at all. If you tell us which cities you will travel in, some one will provide the names in Chinese and Pinyin for you. |
