| Application materials I. To complete and submit Application Form of Aliens for Permanent Residence Permit in China in China (for investors and their spouse with children ), attached with 4 2’’ full-faced pictures which were taken recently; II. To present, for examination the applicant’s valid passport or other certificates used as substitute of passport, attached with their photocopies; III. To submit a health certificate issued by department on health quarantine of China (applicant under 18 years of age can be exempted from the certificate); Health Certificate issued by overseas healthcare institutes should be attested by Chinese consular offices or other resident agencies abroad. IV. To submit documents on non-criminal certification abroad attested by Chinese consular offices or other resident agencies abroad; V. To present the temporary residence certificate in Shanghai or Residence Permit for Aliens in People’s Republic of China; VI. An approval on foreign-funded enterprise, duplicate of the business license and certificate on its allied annual inspection as well as report on the capital verification are to be presented; As an investor of a state-encouraged foreign-funded enterprise, a Letter of Confirmation on the Foreign Investment Projects encouraged by the state is to be presented. VII. To submit the applicant’s duty paid proof; For family members accompanied of the above personnel, their valid passports and visas, as well as document on their kinship relation are to be presented. For instance, marriage certificate is needed if the applicant is a spouse of the above mentioned personnel; for his or her unmarried child(ren) under 18 years of age, the child(ren)’s birth certificates or certificate on parent-child relation should be presented; if it is of adoptive relation, a document on the adoption is to be presented. Remarks I. To apply for a permanent residence permit in China, the applicant should personally file in the application to Entry and Exit Control of Shanghai and go through relevant procedures, or can entrust his or her relatives or some legal entities such as the governmental department or law offices (called as “agent”) to go for the application procedures; II. Applicants under 18 years of age should have their parents act as agent to go for the application procedures, and their parents can also entrust an “agent” to go for the application; III.
