The meteorologist said that Wipha might be the most destructive typhoon in a decade. About 2 million people in southern China have been evacuated before the landfall of Wipha. In some places, the kindergardens and middle schools have been closed. Influenced by Wipha, the FIFA might change its schedules for 2007 Women's World Cup. With the landfall of Wipha, heavy rains ang gales will come. The related department has issued a Lever Two flood control emergency response plan and has sent their teams to those coastal provinces.
