October Travel in Week 1....would like to go somewhere..

LADYMAGGIC Points: Join Date: Nov 9, 2005 Status: offline	I had plans of photographing sunrises from the YHA on the Great Wall...and doing the silk route....and seeing the warriors.. I am OK travelling alone...but sometimes think having a travel mate could be fun..I am also interested in locally run tours as found them fantastic.. I was considering Beijing or Shanghai...but am open to destinations.. Any suggestions? Maggi

Hi Maggi,
Beijing is a great city to visit, there are many places of interests, like Tiananmen Square, The Great Wall, Forbiden City, Summer Palace and so on, there are all nice places to visit. But during the Golden Week(National Day holiday), Beijing is over congested. Shanghai is the same.

There are many celebrative activities. Many foreigners go here to enjoy. If you like, I can be your guide also. : )

HERBEAT Points: Join Date: Mar 17, 2009 Status: Offline	Parents went to Wutaishan and Pingyao almost the same time.. But if you are interested in Beijing tour, drop me a line whenever you come. I normally go for short tours outside of Beijing, to some mountains, etc, either visiting or hiking...
