Questions:

1. Is Mid-Autumn festival always on the 25th of September or does the date changes from year to year? I’m just wondering if I can squeeze the mid-Autumn festival and National Day on my next trip.

2. Is this a nationwide festival? Or just in some parts of China?

3. Does Taiwan celebrate the same thing? (Just wondering if I should go to Taiwan first or do Mainland-Taiwan-Mainland then Japan)

4. I gather that Mid-Autumn festival one and the same as Lantern Festival? Am I getting it right?

Thanks a bunch! ^_^

The Mid-Autumn festival comes on lunar August 15th and the date changes from year to year for a solar calendar. People eat mooncakes and admire the monn on that day.

As it is a nationwide festival, it is celebrated throught China with no exception to Taiwan.

Mid-Autumn festival and Lantern Festival are two different festivals. The Lantern Festival comes on lunar January 15th, 15 days after the grand Chinese New Year.
