| I didn't start out to marry a Chinese woman. I was dating in my home town (in Iowa, USA), talking to women on the internet via e-harmony in the US, and also came upon a chinese dating site. The person I happened to fall in love with was Chinese, but it's entirely possible that I could have met someone with the attributes and personality I was looking for by the other two means. I found a wonderful woman-I don't know if I would have found the same combination without the internet (boy, it has broadened the world!!). What attracted was what she wrote in her profile about herself and what she was looking for in a husband, not that she was Chinese. I will be marrying her on 21 July 2008 in Zhanjiang.. We're both very happy. |

| Hi just joined this site (used to be Guest06934). I've dated many Asian men here in Southern California and have found the usual spread of traits you'd find in White guys. My husband is Chinese and he's fantastic, he's funny, romantic and gregarious. I did'nt go out of my way to find a Chinese guy, just found a great man who was also Chinese. |

GUESTXIN XIN | I truly hope that those who would like to date Chinese girls do so NOT because of their Orientalism. |

| Because of their "Orientalism"? Is there such a word? I married my wife because I love here, TBH I've dated women in the past with all sorts of ethnic backgrounds, perhaps I'm "colourblind"? |
