How useless... People dont know what to invent to communicate... Plus for an athlete, what's the use of these if you had 620g of gold on it, you just transform these shoes in a golden burden, most probably he ll never be able to wear these anyway...

I think you might be kidding us E.
You come from a country that has given the World so much culture, paintings, music, sculpture and more that has no use to us in every day life.
Most of it is beyond our reach to own or even see in real life.
Are we not born to create?

I have indeed but even for painting you can see it as an investment to sell it later. And it is not especiallyuseless , it decorates your house for you to feel home in your everyday life. But these are my parents', I m rather utilitarian... I dont like to spend money if my expense as no meaning.

"Are we not born to create?"

Surely, but usually we create things since we need them for a special purpose : to solve a problem or to express something (even to clarify a foggy artist's mind).
But in this case this is just throughing money away to communicate about an meaningless event. I dislike this kind of communication tools, it creates gap between the world of rich people and the one in which everyone else live. To communicate to people whose job is communication is the only purpose here.
That's a major problem of our society, always pushing everyone to buy things they dont need... I guess it can be fun... If you have the money to buy at least.
