Yeah, Carlos is right. In almost all cities in China,. the railway stations are equipped with English written signs, not to mention the renowned cities like Shanghai, Suzhou and Hanzhou.

I have found English signs in all the places I have been with the exception of Kunming station, couldnt find signs or anyone that spoke English either. Having said that the staff were extremely helpful and I had no real problem.

Hi,GUESTNORHA1,

Don't worry. Currently most of the railway station in China have English signs .

You can get the tickets by yourself & only remind that during peak travel season like China National Holiday(Oct 1th~7th),it is not easy to get the tickets. You need to prepare in advance!

Enjoy!

Yours sincerely,
