Just wanted your opinions on apple vinegar. A friend gave it to me in Guangzhou, said it is really popular at the moment.

My initial thoughts were that apple and vinegar dont mix but the taste was great. Sadly I cant get it now I am home in UK.

Hi Davec,

Why do you think that apple and vinegar don't mix? Actually, some vinegar is made of apple.

It tastes good. In my hometown, many folks used apple to brew vinegar.

Apple is a fruit and sweet in taste whereas vinegar has a sharp sour flavour. I thought that the vinegar would take the taste away, but the vinegar is very subtle and so its mostly apple flavour but not so sweet.

I have heard of cider vinegar Alan but due to the alcohol I cant have it. The one I tried in China was alcohol free.

Dave the Alcohol will be cooked out, it's just the flavour that you will get, I'm sorry to hear you cant enjoy the Alcoholic drinks etc, I don't rely on it but I do enjoy my drink, in fact I will be consuming the " amber nectar " tonight to celebrate my birthday.
