guest13223 what is the most economical way to visit Hangzhou and Suzhou. There are 4 of us. Can we hire a taxi for the day? (ie 1 day in Hangzhou and 1 day in Suzhou)?

Hi,GUEST13223,

Since you have 4 people, we think you can hire a taxi (if just one or two people, we think train is more better )for the day in Hangzhou / Susanzhou .

Btw, specially it is very crowded for train / bus during China National Holiday (Golden week), so this is another key point to use the taxi.

Just go ahead & enjoy!

Yours sincerely,

Hi,GUEST88597,

1) China's National Holiday is from Oct 1th ~8th, 2007. The hotel rate will be higher(maybe reach double price for some hotels) than normal period since the special olympic games/F1 match are also held for this week.

2)For taxi, it is ok normally. And if you really meet the hotel/taxi problem , pls give me a mail message through: hotmail.com|Susan205060 in advance, we will help you to get it if necessary ( but pls make sure to let us know in advance but not final minute) .

Take it easy & enjoy!

Yours sincerely,
Susan Zheng(China Tour Guide)

I'd reckon its better to follow a tour group for these 2 cities. There are quite a lot to see and with a guided tour you wouldn't miss all the places. Their bus will save you time and get group tickets. Those short tours are not expensive...could be cheaper than going on you own even if you have 4 people. If you have more time to look slowly then on your own would be a better choice.

I hate Chinese tours. Stop and shop EVERYWHERE and no real time to see the sights.
