Hello,

I want to visit some small water village.
There are several villages and I am not sure what of them would be more interesting.

What are your recommendations?
Between all small water villages around Hangzhou/Shanghai/Suzhou, what village is the best..?

Thanks for your help.
Angel.

Hi,Angel,

Below three water villages are more better:
1-Hangzhou
2-Wuzhen
3-Xi'tang
4-Zhujiajiao

For Zhouzhuang/Tongli, normally we don't prefer to recommend since it is too commercial now.

Enjoy!

Yours sincerely,

Regards, Angel.

I think they are all similar....if you are not going to live there for few nights or so it's really a tourist thing....I didn't find my trip there interesting or worthwhile....all you see are tourists and locals selling stuff to tourists

Hangzhou is NOT a water village, please!
So far my favourites are Xitang (http://www.xitang.com.cn), Tongli (http://www.tongli.net) and Luzhi (http://www.luzhi.cn). Just came back from a fantastic overnight stay at Tongli, in fact.
Read my VirtualTourist Xitang travel page for more information: http://members.virtualtourist.com/m/1d57/f2e9f/
