Griz: The type of abalone that my entire family consumes is usually around 7 inches. I am not sure if you can purchase this species of abalone in china because it really depends on the laws that govern if abalone can be caught and sold or not like here in the states, but it is possible since even here in California there is a black market of abalone. Its probably a good idea to ask your girl if she knows anything about it, if you don't know the name for abalone its "gravel+shell fish" or "Container+Fish" its the same meaning, lol if you say the first combination wrong, it actually means "kill him" .

Hmmm, Actually it might be a better idea to email a picture.

Oh, and Griz, I know of a place that you can place a order for the Sea Cucumbers and ginseng or anything else, they got everything, even shark fin. They are a small chain based out of Los Angeles, Ca. They got a website and email and the only one that I know of that does mail orders and does transactions through Visa/Mastercard which is safer for you. I just gotta dig the card out of somewhere in my office. I posted here just so that I don't leave you hanging, but I will have within 24hrs to your PM.
