![]() | Recently, the Standing committee of NPC of Jiangsu has abolished an article of the draft of the Guidelines on the Implementation of the Law on the Protection of Rights and Interests of Women. This has aroused people's great concerns. The article says that the women have the right to know her husband's financial statement during their marriage. Most people interprete this article like this: the wife have the right to investigate whether her husband save his egg money or pin money.originally, the article aims at protecting women's rights and interests. But now it has been misinterpreted by people. Before, women usually keep some egg money or pin money because they have lower social status compared with men. Nowadays, the situation has changed. In China, men usually hand in their salary to their wife so that they seldom have money. In order to cope with some emergent problems or have dinner with his buddies, he secretly save some egg money or pin money. What do you think of this phenomenon? Do you have egg money or pin money? In your family, who has the final say? Do you have to hand in your salary to your wife? |

![]() | Interesting question for me. I have been single again since 1983, so the thought of giving my money to my wife is something I must consider. If my gal and I remain as happy as we were in the picture when we meet for the Spring Festival, marriage is a near certainty. |

![]() | If I want to " sip beer " as you put it, maybe this was included in the etc, to be honest, I would rather be with my wife than down the pub with a bunch of drunken bums. |

![]() | I used to give all of my money to my last Wife as I thought it might have empowered her and make her feel more equal. I was wrong as she left me with little except my ability to earn more. Would I do the same again? Probably, as I am a dinosaur who thinks it enough to bring home the bacon and let my Wife decide how it is distributed. Dodger. PS. Yes I would rather be with my Wife than a bunch of drunken bums Alan. |
