400000 yuan to save a life, is it worthwhile? According to the news, a woman climbed to the top of a high tension tower to end her life in Huadu district of Guangzhou. Eventually, she was saved. In order to save her, the electricity was cut off. For this reason, most people's live were affected. And a huge loss has been made. According to the lowerest electricity price, at least 400000 yuan was lost let alone other losses and inconvience.

Some people say that this lady 'kidnapped' the whole city and caused serious damage. Thus, it is not worthy to save her. What do you think?

Look at this photo. The firefighters climbing the tower to save the woman.

JimmyB,
how much is your life worth to you and your Family?
$1.00 or $5.00.
I think it would be much more as you are unreplacable. There is only one Jimmy.
The Woman was obviously unwell and needs help. She was once some bodies baby girl who is now in pain.
She needs our help and Compassion in her time of need.
Dodger.
My time in the Pulpit is over.

Agree with Ellen. Human's life is the most important. Though she was saved, she should be punished for what she did. I find this news on the internet. After being saved, she was detained.

Iceberg,
I hope it was in a safe place that they put her.
Alan,
bless you my son.
There is a small village in Kent called Barming where the first Hospital for the insane was built, and from where the word Barmy comes from. The building is still there.
OK, so my time in the Pupit is over again.

lol dodger the preacher! Do we get tax fa pio on donations to your community?

Personally, I think that 400,000 kwai to save a life is nothing. Just think of how much some employees of any gouvernment are wasting, how much rich people gamble at casinos, on the stock market or on any other stupid things. If the gouvernment is really the people's money, than the official should gladly pay the bill and never put any doubts in the population's mind that it was too much. This is a very small price to show the world our common compassion.

Go in peace

Al,
I’ll send the collection plate around…ha
When I was in the services a long time ago we used to fire off missiles that would have cost about the price of a good house. What a waste.
So I agree. This money was well spent. And peanuts in the scheme of things.
If (any) government does have a primary function, it must be in the care and protection of its people.
Sorry, I’m preaching again
Dodger.
