In most Chinese parents' eyes, to take a good profession is very important and it can help their child to succeed in their life. Therefore, they always expect that their child can take a promising and prestigious profession. In your view, what professsion do you think enjoy a high reputation?What profession do the parents expect their child to take in the future? According to a survey, most Chinese parents expect their children to be a teacher in the future, and then doctor and scientist. Compared with other professions, it enjoy a high reputation. Moreover, it is stable and relaxed. You have the summer and winter vacations and a satisfying salary. No wonder some people say that the civil servant and the teacher are the two best professions in China. If you were the parents, what profession would you expect your child to take, teacher, doctor, lawyer or other professions? |

![]() | My daughter is hoping to go into athletics, her aim is to run at the olympics in 2012 here in London, it is taking place in the borough of Newham which is where she lives. I'm hoping she keeps up her education and goes to University, as to what profession she goes for I will leave her to choose for herself. |

![]() | If I was the parent, I would not interfere her freedom. She has the right to decide what profession to choose. What I can do is to offer some suggestions. Once she makes her decision, she should be responsible for herself. |
