Thank you very much - can you tell me what hotels are near that area? I have a reservation but not sure of the best location to be in for the new years parties and celebrations.

Heh I wouldn't pick to be near Longhua Temple. Xintiandi would be an excellent base, I'm sure there'll be a countdown party there.
