guest07242 I am going to Sanya (Dadonghai) by myself for three days. Does anyone have any reccomendations on places to see, dor, or eat at? I want to see the big touristy things but mostly do relaxing things as my life in Shanghai has been really busy. Thanks.

Hi, I've been here a year already. Sanya is definitely a very nice place to live. Dadonghai has nice beach but close to the city, sometimes it could be busy and crowded. The places of interest: I would recommend the end of the world, the guan-yin statue at Nanshan temple, luhuitou (the deer returns her head) park...Please feel free to contact me if you have more questions. yahoo.cn|angie99

I suggest just hanging out at the beach. It is so nice!!!!!!!!
The big touristy things are not much different from anything else except perhaps the trip to the islands for snorkelling or scuba diving.

Dadonghai has so many good eateries all within easy walk of each other so you won't have any trouble finding them. Depends what you want to eat. The Summer Plaza has a great night food court where you can choose from many different dishes but especially the local seafood and Qingdao beer is on tap in four different colours/flavours

Hey Jabaroo, I know why you are the number one traveller in here. You find out all the good things wherever you go. I went to Sanya and couldn't find much there. Maybe my twelve words of Chinese (which is comprised of iced beer, open it, thanks, and numbers) is a bit of a handicap.
