Terra Cotta Warriors Pit 2 will be closed

The Pit 2 of Qin Terra Cotta Warriors will be closed on November 1, 2007 for repair. Pit 2 has been opened to the public for 13 years. Pit 2 covering an area of 8,000 square meters is the most splendid battle array in the three pits. The roof of pit 2 is not in a good condition. The repare work is estimated to be completed by April 20th,2008.

in fact there is already much left of to be seen, as compared to images portrayed in books, in grandeur, most of the terrocotta pieces in the pits open to public must have been worn out
