FIFA, the governing body of world football announced yesterday that Brazil would host 2014 World Cup. It is the second time that Brazil has won the bid to host the World Cup. In 1950, the World Cup was held in Brazil and Brazil won the second place.

In fact, Brazil is the only one country that submits the application to FIFA to host 2014 World Cup. Thus, it is no surprise. Looking back on the history of world football, you will find that Brazil is the one who has taken part in the World Cup for 17 times. They have won five champions and the second place for two times.

Congratulations to Brazil! I am very glad to hear that 2014 World Cup will be held in the kingdom of football.

Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva (Right), Brazil's president and Dunga, the coach of Brazil's national football team.

Sorry for my mistake. It should be on Oct.30, not yesterday. Sigh, what a bad memory!
