PETERSEAFORD Points: Join Date: Mar 10, 2007 Status: offline	i would love to visit this store in Beijing and i understand that it is at 3501 Gongchang Dong San Huan 23 would i arrive there by taxi if i gave this address to a taxi driver? if not could you show me what to say ?- thanks i am interested to buy the PLA hat and great coat - those hats with the Star and fur fold down cuffs look great. i would also like to buy a gor-tex patagonian rain jacket - where would i best look for a warm - light - rain jacket in Beijing would you suggest that the Silk Market is the best place for a tourist to spend some money or is there another market i should find - possibly after 7pm because we are on a coducted tour for most of the day. really appreciae your help and advise regards and cannot wait to arrive in your country peter

Here is the address I found for the surplus store in China Daily:

3501 PLA Surplus Store, 23 Dongsanhuan Lu, South of Jing Guang Centre, Dongcheng District

I am certain someone will improve upon my attempt at Chinese writing, but I believe the store will be called something like:

中国人民解放军长物店

I believe PLA is 中国人民解放军 in Simplified Chinese. Surplus is 剩余 or maybe 长物. Store is 店.

It is a start...the people who really know will perfect it. :-)

GUEST42235	Hu jia lo station Subway line 10 Exit E The store is beside the exit It is on the northwest quadrant of chao yang north road and east third ring road north The store name is in Chinese, so don't look for 3501
