GUESTPOLO Guest79176,

It is quite possible that Marco Polo didn't have a perfect memory. However, it was impossible that he forgot very important experiences in China. He never mentioned China Great Wall, daily tea drinking and other cultural things in his works. Does that sound reasonable?

Marco Molo did come to China. He brought the gunpowder to the West. In China, the gunpowder was only used for making fireworks. When Marco Polo brought it to the West, gunpowder was used to fuel the Cannon. The western countries used the cannon to bomb China in 1840s. The four discoveries including gunpowder boost the development of the western world.

It was Marco Polo who helped the western countries knock at the door of China. During the Opium War, the gunboats equipped with cannnons that was fueled with " gunpowder invented by Chinese people' bombed China. That was a humiliated episode of China' s history.

It sounds that you are blaming Marco Polo. You seem to regard him as a thief or or a robber.

Marco Polo brought china, spice, tea and noodle to Italy. Spaghetti is more famous than Chinese noodles. I thought why he didn't bring coffee to China at that time.

Obviously you don't know much about history. Gunpowder was not ONLY used to make fireworks. As early as 904 the chinese were using gunpowder as incendiary projectiles called 'flying fires' (fei-huo). The chinese also used gunpowder for cannons, guns and explosives long before Marco Polo was born.

I can so disagree with you there, Spaghetti is no where near as famous as Chinese noodles. How many people are there in Italy?
There are some two billion in China, and about one billion in India, those two countries, being pretty much right next to each other, and making up half of the world's population.
