![]() | Source: CRIENGLISH.com. Yesterday, the Eighth China Arts Festival opened in Wuhan, Hubei Province. Held by the Ministry of Culture and the local government, the festival aims to display 'the latest major achievement and fruits of Chinese cultural and art sector over the past five years'. According to the news, 54 dramas from the world would be performed during festival and to compete for the "Wenhua" prize, the highest performance art award in China. And more than 500 shows and 32 exhibitions on Chinese arts would also be staged in the two-week festival, including 10 overseas dramas. During the festival, 20 museums and memorial halls of the city would be opened free to the public. The tickets for some performances are very cheap, only costing 20 yuan. ![]() |
