Are there any restrictions on taking food stuffs into China ?

guest21145 Hi
Does anyone know if there are any restrictions of taking food stuffs into China ? In particular I'm concerned with food packs that contain skimmed milk which I know you can't take into countries like Australia.

I tried the embassy but I couldn't even get an answer to the phone.
Thanks !

No restrictions as long as you don't take in fresh food (in your hand, carry-on luggage).

Yues you have to declare food. I remeber having to do so. There are questions on the quarantine card.
