I have two Chinese friends in Canada from Fuzhou. One tells me it is too hot to vist Fuzhou and south China in June. The other says it is not. It is hot and humidyes but too bad like in August and September. Who is correct? I want to visit China in June/July but want to avoid the Olympic crowds.

Well, "too hot" is a relative concept.
Look at the historical weather data on Weather Underground (China) and judge for yourself: http://www.wunderground.com/global/CI.html

Too hot, yes it is relative but you would never visit anywhere if you made all your decisions based on the weather.
It may be a little hot but it will never, ever be too hot.............. It's only in the tropics and barely at that. It is not a desert.
