![]() | Have you ever heard of this sentences? In the times of chaos, we should buy gold; In the times of peace and prosperity, we should buy and collect jade. In recent days, jade prices have been skyrocketing. In recent 30 years, the prices of jade have increased about 10 thousand times. Lured by the high profits, many people flock into Hetian in Xinjiang Autonomous Region to make fortune. Compared with jade, Chinese stocks are also very hot. Many millionaires even billionaires have appeared in the stock market. Collecting jades or buying stocks can bring you huge profits. What will you choose if you wanna do some investment? And why do you choose to collect jades or to buy stocks? |

![]() | Gold has intrinsic value so it will always be worth something and may make you a profit. Stocks are like buying a lottery ticket; sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. I have lost quite a bit of money in the American stock market. :-( Jade (and I presume you are talking about buying finished jade objects rather than raw jade) is like buying art; if you acquire the works of a master the art always has value, but if you buy ordinary jades then the pieces may only have value in your enjoyment of them. |

![]() | Yes, Griz. I was talking about finished jade objects. At present, the uncut jade prices have also increased drastically. In 1970s, the prices of uncut Hetian jade were 5 or 10 yuan per kilogram. Nowadays, the prices of high-quality uncut Hetian jade are 50 to 60 thousand yuan per kilogram. Those who do jade business can make huge profits. What I want to say is that you must have enough money if you intend to collect finished jade. |
