.etc. are very good hotels in Guangzhou .

believed what he wanted was for Hostels n not hotels esp 5-star ones. Anyway in Guangzhou there are also many budget type hotels with 2-3 star which are about rmb150 to rmb200. And for hostels - can refer to this searched site at http://www.hostelworld.com/findabed.php/

Some people just can't read or understand properly.
Answers for 5-star hotels when the question was about hostels.
Answers for rat and dog meat when the question was about vegetarian food.
Is it a lack of English skills, ignorance, stupidity, or what?

Yep, if I wanted 5 star hotels then it would be easy to find!!! $200 a night rooms are advertised everywhere!


I think the problem is people just dont stop and smell the roses, and they dont take the time to really understand.


What a crazy world we live in huh? People aswering about 5 star hotels when I asked for hostels...whats next, the end of the world??? :)

There are three hostels in Guangzhou.

Two are run part of the China YHA ... see www.yhachina.com. However the one at the main rail station is part of a hotel and was full when I tried. The other is on the river but I have not seen it or heard about it.

The third is also part of a hotel, an ex city owned hotel on Shamian Island, price 50 rmb in a dorm. It is quite good and you will meet other travellers there. Free internet. The location is quite good but you have to travel quite some distance to get cheap food. It is an easy walk from the metro station (sorry I can't remember its name) and once on the island there are street maps.
