The US has always taken a hardline over Iran and North Korea's Nuke issues. However, for its allies /potential allies, US seems generous.

Before we go, I'd like to draw your attentions to the following two items of news:

News item one: "The United States is helping Pakistan keep its nuclear weapons secure in a top-secret program that has cost Washington almost 100 million dollars since 2001, The New York Times reported Sunday."

Item 2: "A landmark pact with the United States aimed at bringing India into the global nuclear marketplace has won a reprieve, but the deal is not out of the woods yet, analysts say."The deal would allow nuclear-armed India to buy civilian nuclear technology to help fuel its fast-growing economy, despite not having signed the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty.

I am thinking about why the USA can believe Pakistan India's nuke programme is for peaceful purpose: while US hold a resentful attitudes against Iran and DPRK. USA even called Iran and DPRK " Rogue States' or "Evil Axis". What do you think of this issue? Has US held a double stand?

GUEST42202 You bet your sweet ass that the U.S. has been exercising double standard on all issues since the end of World War 2. They have been supporting dictators and two bits generals of their liking in this world while they decried others who refused to toe their line as dictators and undemocractic regimes.

Only an American might not be able to see the double standards the U.S. uses on Nuke and other military issues.

Heck, in the 80's the U.S. was backing Saddam Hussein with military support during the Iran-Iraq war and turning a blind eye to Iraq's use of chemical weapons.

But the U.S. is certainly not the only country in the world with military double standards.

GUEST2046 In fact, all countries hold double standard in terms of both diplomacy and military. We all have different tactics and policies when deal with foes and allies, don't we?
