Train to or from Lhasa?
Nov 22, 2007 06:54
guestkuki We would like to visit China on April 2008 and take that train to Lhasa.

What is preferable to take the train to Lhasa or from Lhasa?

Has someone took the train from Lhasa to Xian?

Yes, taking by the train to Lhasa City is preferable and easy, but you will book the train ticket in advance at least 10 days because there is only one train daily. Now the train to Lhasa City is only from Beijing, Chengdu City, Chongqing City, Guangzhou City, Lanzhou City, Xining City and Guangzhou City. Xi’an City is the stop-off station. It is no problem if you take the train from Lhasa City to Xi’an City. It is necessary booking the train ticket in advance in Lhasa City.

Much easier getting tickets OUT of Lhasa rather than INTO Lhasa. The scenery is also better in this direction.
