| After Temasek, the Singaporean State Investment Institution decreased about 567 million dollars of its share holding of BOC (Bank of China), BOC shares dropped more than 9 percent in Hong Kong. Temasek is the second largest stockholder of BOC. Temasek said that their action was just a part of their portfolio management. BOC shares dropped 5.2 percent when market closed. Also its A-shares went down 1.5 percent impacted by this. Most investors are afraid that BOC's investment might face a loss due to the US subprime mortgage crisis. Perhaps, that is the real reason why Temasek decreased its shareholding in BOC. |
