According to the survey conducted by NBS, the sex ratio in countryside in China is 122.85 : 100 (men to women), which is higher than the average of 119.58 : 100. The normal sex ratio should be 103 to 107 : 100. At present, men who should get married are 18 million more than women. It is estimated that there will be about 30 million bachelors in 2020.

The data seem to suggest that men face difficulties to find their partners in the near future. For men, this is not very good. They have to compete with each other to find their future wife. However, girls should be happy about this. That is some guys' views. Have you ever of this? When a thing is scarce, it is precious. Women have many choices for their future husbands because there are too many male candidates.

Personally, I think it sounds reasonable. What do you think? Sex ratio imbalance benefits women or not?

No wonder I have not found my GF yet. Boys are too many and competition is too fierce. To be serious, why are there so many boys? I guess that this has something to do with Chinese people's traditional concept---Men is superior than women. In ancient times, parents perfer to have boys than girls because boys are good labours and the most important is that they burden a very important responsibility-----to make their clan to continue. Some materials reveal that some parents just drowned their daughter or abandoned them when they were born. Very sad.

In some (and perhaps all countries) there are more boys than girls born. This would be an evolutionary feature perhaps to offset the number of men killed in battle or hunting. So the issue is not totally unique to China.

As women are in the minority there is a tendency for only a few to 'marry beneath themselves', while men may have to do so because of the shortage in their own social level (and social / education levels are major factors in selecting a partner). This means that men and women can pair off down the social scale until we get to the bottom. The ones who will suffer will be the poorly educated and low income males. I feel sorry for them.

Yes, lucky Chinese girls but sad for boys. It is estimated that there will be 30 million bachelors in 2020. Not a good news.

Then the Chinese girls will be even more lucky! I guess the girls are just reaping the rewards for being treated as second-class citizens. Life really has a way of balancing things out. ^_^"

Come to think of it, if the girl really loves you, there's no need to be afraid of competition at all, don't you think?

His friend asked " Hey friend, what are you doing there" (in the drain)
He replied from the deep drain, " friend, come here, quick, too honey here.
