From Cantonese to Mandari

Hey whats up,

I speak Cantonese at home with my parents and family and others who prefer it to English. I want to learn Mandarin and was wondering whether its easier to learn Mandarin with a Cantonese background?

If u can speak Cantonese, then Mandarin is not very difficult.
