To be honest, if I were a mom, I would be mad with them. Luckily, I am not.

Quote: Only the child in #1 requires punishment of some sort for doing damage. There is paint on the floor, the sofa and the television that may not be successfully removed.

Griz, he might be a great painter in the future. What we should do is to find a suitable place and let him paint :-)

Quote: Heh, my mother said I ate newspapers when I was a toddler.

No wonder you are very smart, SHESGOTTOBE :-) Just kidding (no offence).

Beating them badly?
Non-sense.

Perhaps they should just sell the Kid and cut their losses. It would pay for the damages.

I think its the parents that need the punishment. Are the rugrats in these photos unsupervised? or while they were commiting their 'crimes' did the parent think it was more amusing to take photos of them rather than stop them from doing it?

I think you will find the photo's were an after thought, Dave.
And clearing up the mess is their punishment, as the saying goes " been there got the tee shirt " the only difference is my daughter didn't have time to cause to much havoc, I did see her try to ride on the cats back, good job she was only small and Jerry the cat was a bit on the large size, but it was a funny sight.

Look at the first photo, the kid has opened a tin of paint and decided to redecorate. NO that is not what happened. I myself have tried opening these tins of paint and it is not that easy.
I suspect the kid had someone to help it.
maybe the cat or dog.

I still ask the question, what were the parents doing? why is the kid unsupervised in a room with paint???

You are right Davec, Where is the adult, how that boy can go so far and do so much damage?
I think they are busy watching mtv.
