As Christmas is approaching, many college students are planning to send their BF/GF expensive presents. Do you think it is romantic or extravagant? Have you ever had to to save mone to buy valuable presents for your BF/GF?

I think it's very extravagant! The university students get money from their parents, they have no source of income.Valuable presents can't express how you love him/her.The priceless gifts lovers can give each other are faith, trust, tolerance and consideration.

Although I am not against gift-giving, I agree that expensive gift doesn’t equal love. Expensive gift means that the giver can afford to buy an expensive gift, that’s all. But if someone wants to save thousands of $ or be in debt for a gift, that’s not really my business. ^_^”

Love can’t be measured by money. I think the best gift for any occasion is to spend that day with one’s beloved.

I am with you. The case described is extravagant. I highly appreciate this idea: love can’t be measured by money. I think the best gift for any occasion is to spend that day with one’s beloved.
