I understand from an American friend who had lived and worked
in China that it's possible to live somewhere in China for 6
months or so teaching English and the government pays all the
expenses (travel to & from, housing, a small salary, general
expenses, etc. etc. etc.).

Can anyone tell me about this program - provide links and other
leads to learn more about it - especially if someone who is
single and already over 50 can participate?

Thanks.

Thanks! I took a look. They all look interesting and possible.
I'm not so interested in living and working in Beijing, though, as
I'd rather be out somewhere to really meet the people and see
the countryside.

Any more ideas would be greatly appreciated.
